Description:
Experienced Radio Communication Technician will be responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of high-end two-way radio products to include: portable, mobile, repeater, microwave and control equipment from manufacturers such as Motorola, ICOM, and Kenwood, Zetron and others.

Responsibilities include:
RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following but not limited to other assigned duties.

Follow written and/or verbal instructions and daily service schedules to do repairs. Ability to perform equipment installations from two-way radios in vehicles, one site repeater systems to large multi-site microwave systems. Follow tests procedures, schematics and other instructions and troubleshoots to the component level (analog and digital circuitry) with the use of instrumentation and test aids. Have the ability to work both in field and on bench as work requires. Has the ability to troubleshoot without schematics. Fills out requisition for parts needed to perform repairs. Fills out repair report with a detailed failure analysis, and noting correct assembly/model numbers, physical damage, cosmetic defects, functional defects, components replaced. Communicates with customers by phone on repair orders and product troubleshooting. Notifies supervisor when not meeting scheduled target dates. Interfaces with Service Manager on the completion of service reports. Supports supervisor on the training of fellow technicians.



Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: must meet the following requirements.

2+ years experience in similar job field Fluent in using instrumentation (service monitors, oscilloscope, watt meters, frequency generator, frequency counter, etc.) Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite & Tools Experience in dealing with customers.

EDUCATION High school diploma or general education degree (GED) AS degree in Engineering, RF Communications or equivalent certification/experience FCC or equivalent desired.
