Network Engineer

This opportunity in the IT area of Tektronix Communications Business will challenge and expand your network engineering, network security and other technical skills. This position is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting a variety of customer network access solutions used to support the growing, global Tektronix customer base.

As a member of the Global Engineering Support Team, you will be responsible for the deployment and support of secure network access solutions for the remote delivery of engineering services. You will provide technical expertise to support data communications technologies including VPN's, routers, switches, firewalls and related systems. You will develop and deliver technical solutions to meet customer network access requirements based on their security requirements, service level commitments, cost and efficiency. You may communicate daily with other engineers, developers and customers to implement secure, 24x7 solutions. You will document system configurations and monitor access control gateways. You will also participate in account administration duties for all customer access engineering systems.

• Requires a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT or Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience in Network Administration, Information Security, Network Design or a related field. • May involve some travel to Tektronix locations worldwide. • Candidate should have a strong skill set related to Information Security. • Familiar with Unix, Linux, Windows platforms is desirable. • Customer facing experience with the Telecom industry is desirable.
