Currently, we are seeking a National Account Manager in the New York and New Jersey area.SUMMARY:A national account manager is responsible for leveraging Checkpoint’s portfolio to engage with Key account executives to understand their business challenges and develop/execute plans that focus on providing solutions. JOB FUNCTIONS: Cultivate executive level relationships within Key accounts to produce substantial and profitable revenue growth annually Achieve/exceed 100% of assigned quota Have extensive knowledge in retail (especially apparel accounts) Support and participate in the strategic direction of the company Maintain knowledge of trends and activities in the industry Provide marketing and management with market intelligence Commit to quality, service and integrity in all dealings Provide revenue and product forecasts Ensure that appropriate technical and training departments provide post implementation support Demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency of products, and accurately present and sell the benefits/ features Serve as a point of escalation and liaison for issues and activities Expedite the resolution of customer problems/complaints Ensure value is delivered to the customer from sale through installation to service Participate in industry trade shows and seminars Maintain knowledge of trends and activities in the industry Attend internal meetings and training as required Support and participate in the strategic direction of Checkpoint Provide marketing and management with market intelligence Commit to quality, service and integrity in all dealings Compliance with corporate policies and regulations Maintain company ethics code and standards of professionalismJOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing or related field, MBA preferred 5+ years experience direct selling to national accounts (preferably computer, telecommunications, networking, merchandising, security, or supply chain solutions) Business development with extensive solutions selling skills Knowledge of the apparel vertical in retail and established contacts in that marketplace Possession of a sound knowledge of: creating marketing tools, consumer behavior, market research, and preparing strategic key account plans Ability to maintain account and solutions expertise across multiple lines of business Adept at developing executive level partner-like relationships Polished communication and presentation skills Strategic planning and solid goal setting acumen Excellent problem solving skills and strong decision making capabilities Ability to take complex situations and explain big picture solutions Computer literate - proficient in the use of PowerPoint and other audio-visual aids Track record of collaboratively building significant business partnerships Ability to negotiate high-yielding contracts Effective strategic account management Complex sales cycles Ability to work independently and with a team Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding goals Frequent travel within North America Effective administrative and organizational skillsWORK ENVIRONMENT: Home officeWe offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including performance incentive plans, 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, tuition reimbursement and more in an employee-focused and goal-oriented organization.
