NSS Project Manager

Essential Job functions & Responsibilities:

· Create, agree, own, and report on the project plan and associated expenses.

· Develop and own end to end project plan for the new product.

· Negotiate with functional managers to accept ownership and commit to end dates for each major activity.

· Ensure the project is run to plan and own the major project checkpoints.

· At each checkpoint, ensure the product meets criteria for quality, function, cost, and reliability.

· Uses customer information for improvements in products and services; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers.

· Participates in and/or supports the development and execution of ISS strategies to meet NSS business objectives.

· Manages daily business activities and tasks in a global organization.

· Builds collaborative relationships on multiple organizational levels, with managers, partners and peers from diverse backgrounds across functional lines.

· Drives continuous improvement programs across area of responsibility.

· Shares best practices with partners and peer groups.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Demonstrate subject matter expertise in one or more disciplines.

· Demonstrates a successful record managing large-scale, project execution and meeting delivery schedules.

· Knowledge of formalized project management theories and methodologies.

· Understands the corporate business plan and his/her role in supporting it.

 

· Advanced level customer service skills to manage expectations, perceptions and outcomes.

· Prioritize multiple tasks, managing conflicting deadlines, and working effectively in a dynamic environment.

· Exemplify effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

· Intermediate level skill working with MS Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree in computer sciences or related subject.

· Minimum 5 years project management experience in a high volume, high tech industry.

· Project Management Institute qualification a plus.

· Experience meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.

· Experience working in problem and change management environments.
