Metrology Technician

SE Laboratories is seeking a Metrology Technician for local operation.

This position will work both in-house (lab) and in the field at customer locations providing calibration service to key customers.

The right candidate will have several years of experience in the calibration industry, and thorough knowledge of the RF/Microwave arena of test equipment.

The right candidate will also enjoy working closely with key customers on-site to provide exemplary service.

Education/Experience

- Education in technical theory (electronics or mechanical).

- Proficiency in techniques of measurement and/or repair.

- A minimum of 2 years experience in Metrology.

Skills/Abilities

- Ability to work with personnel within various departments to address customer concerns as quickly as possible, utilizing any and all resources available.

- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

- Ability to schedule and prioritize assignments.

Description of Duties

- Calibrate equipment in accordance with approved specifications and procedures.

- Repair equipment in accordance with internal procedures.

- Submit new specs/procedures for Quality approval as obtained.

- Adhere to ESD control procedures as applicable.

- Perform Field Service as required.

- Complete documentation on work performed.

- Complete Customer Discrepancy reports for applicable sections.

- Perform all duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

- Work with the Quality Manager to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.

- Customer interaction, when necessary, upon request of personnel within various departments.
