Merchandise Reconciliation Coordinator

SUMMARY

Researches and resolves deductions for pricing duplicate deductions, freight destroyed in field, model substitution discounts and reductions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Issues credits for handling, freight, destroy in field and model substitution deductions, if research indicates credit is necessary.

 

Researches pricing, discounts, duplicate deductions and unknown deductions, bringing all of these issues to conclusion by credit memo or repayment.

 

Sends letters or confers with customers having deductions for resolution of outstanding issues.

 

Is responsible for return deductions for HSN, Target, Staples and a few smaller accounts.

Interfaces daily with Sales Administration and Little Ferry/Glendale warehouses on account discrepancies.

 

Notifies customer and/or appropriate Casio personnel of findings, adjustments, or credit of account.

 

Researches post audit claims.

 

All other duties as may be assigned by other members of management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree from two-year college or technical school and up to one year related experience; or high school diploma/GED and one to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and procedure manuals.  Ability to write simple correspondence and routine reports.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
