Mechanical/Electrical Engineer

Position: Mechanical/Electrical EngineerGeneral Purpose: Ability to assist procurement with the sourcing of motors, qualification of new vendors and commodity based sourcing of motors including determining component weights and costs.Duties:*Engineering *Sales *Purchasing *Quality* Develop an internal motor bank of new and likely motors from various sources that can meet the needs of new product development in the current and future markets. Work interactively with other engineers to drive out cost from applied packages by applying the lowest cost motors for a given application. Ability to work with Sales Team to explain motor differences to customers. Track motor trends and technology shifts assist in identifying go forward partners in bringing new, innovative and low cost products to market quickly. RequirementsKnowledge of all Motors that are less than 5 Horsepower Understand how to match the best motor construction with the customer application, providing the best package solution. Ability to make recommendations and execute them to enhance products. Proven ability to manage projects to successful and timely completion, meeting the needs of the customer. Ability to communicate with Customers, Engineering Team, and Sales Team in a professional matter.
