Materials Planner/Buyer-BS, plus 3-5 years (min.) exp with electronics exp/ critical path components

Assignment:

Responsible for materials planning support of Laboratory programs. This position reviews engineering requests and bills of materials to assess cost and availability of electronic components, generates requests to centralized procurement organization for purchase and tracks parts through receipt. A key success criteria is that all electronic component parts are received and in stock in time to support the program schedule. This person will report on status to the program team; keep the program team focused on critical path components; drive actions necessary to resolve any limiters, such as finding substitute parts, negotiating improved dates with suppliers, etc., and participate in make/buy decisions based on appropriate criteria. Exemplary team skills are a must as these responsibilities will be accomplished directly or through influence of other organizations such as engineering and procurement.

Special Talents:  

Excellent planning, communication and organizational skills. 5-8 years electronics components experience a plus. Working knowledge of SAP.
