We currently are seeking a Market Development Manager – Electrical Wholesaling. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in working with a manufacturer servicing electrical distribution.  The candidate has excellent product knowledge in cable management systems, effectively expands product lines and extensions, creates programs which can grow sales, and has relationships and good rapport with electrical wholesaling customers. 

 

Although it is preferable that this position operates from HellermannTyton’s corporate headquarters in Milwaukee, it is not a requirement.  For the right candidate, this position can work from a home office. 

 

Core Responsibilities

 

In conjunction with global teams, develop strategic plans to increase HellermannTyton’s electrical wholesaling marketIn accordance with the strategic and market plan, research, qualify and move forward programs which deliver unique product sets, programs, and promotions which are attractive to electrical distribution customersSolidify electrical wholesaling corporate relationships and facilitate relationships at the branch level to ensure sales goals are metInterface with HellermannTyton sales team on a continual basis to ensure execution of strategyEnsure HellermannTyton meets the date and transaction requirements of the electrical distribution marketWith the support of HellermannTyton’s global product database and thorough market analysis, lead new product idea generation for the North American electrical market.  Following established APQP processes, bring the ideas to fruition through launching new productsDevelop core corporate positioning and work with marketing communications team to produce marketing deliverable to support positioning and marketing plansEvaluate and monitor competitive landscape in Americas and globallyDevelop customer service and technical support mechanisms which make it easy for our customers to do business with HellermannTyton

 

Position Requirements

 Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university requiredFive plus years experience with a manufacturer who services electrical wholesaling customers.  Proven experience in growing product lines and product line extensions and creating and analyzing programs which will increase sales.  Aptitude and experience in conducting project and program analyses and monitoring ROI goals and status.  Demonstrated ability to keep projects on schedule and within budget.Sales experience a plus.  Must have worked on continual basis with sales force, if no direct sales experience.Current relationships within the electrical wholesaling industry.Proficient at creating and giving high level presentationsExcellent verbal, written, organizational skills with good leadership skillsHighly proficient in Microsoft Office.  Experience using CRM systems preferred. Domestic and international travel required (50%)
