The Manufacturing Test Systems Engineer will design & document manual or automatic test equipment for new product development, set up and on-going support of manufacturing test stations. 

Job specific responsibilities include:Develop requirements for manufacturing test equipment based on manual procedures and prototype/product capability.Develop test system architecture, especially software/hardware.Use LabVIEW to develop tests that automatically navigate menus, determine response, and evaluate results. Work with Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Project Management and test validations groups to formalize test processes and procedures. Integration of test systems to databases and data management for Production test data management including test cycle time management.Provide on-site support for installation, trouble-shooting and continuous improvement. International travel; 25-50%
Required Skills

Perform requirements and system tasks as outlined above.Design and coding of National Instruments “LabVIEW�Ability to work with Electronics team to design and fabricate required printed circuit boards.DriversResponsible for instrument drivers for all our products using LabWINDOWS/CV.Develop front panel control software for all products.Test SoftwareDevelop test software for various assembly level tests using LabVIEWDevelop software for full system level testsDevelop test software for environmental testing of various productsOptimize software per use model (i.e. factory operator tendencies)Manufacturing SupportProvide on-site support for installation and sustainingRequired Experience



Minimum of 3+ years experience in software development with C/C++, Java, LabVIEW

Minimum of 3+ years experience in the development of test procedures and/or specifications in a technical, high volume production environment.  New product introduction to high volume preferred.

Minimum of 3+ years experience in digital/analog electronics.


LabVIEW programming with expertise in vision systems and set up manufacturing test stations preferred.  This position involves knowledge of coding, software functionality, and simulation/test equipment, specifically LabVIEW.


Development experience on Windows platforms.


Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Object Oriented Design (OOD) knowledge is a plus.
