Responsibilities: include logging product movement via automated system, processing product according to assigned priorities; conducting visual checks of equipment and working with other Manufacturing Technicians to resolve equipment issues. These are twelve-hour shifts: 3 days on, 4 days off; 4 days on, 3 days off. Candidates must be able to stand/walk up to 12 hours per shift as well as lift and carry up to 15lbs. repetitively. The hourly rate is $11.00 with a 15% differential to be paid for night and weekend hours worked.
Requirements: Requirements include basic computer skills; strong interpersonal and communications skills; the ability to work with a minimum of supervision and the ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment. All candidates must have a strong work history with verifiable references. National Semiconductor does require criminal background checks, pre-employment drug testing and pre-placement physicals for all new employees. This entry level position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Military experience or wafer fab experience a plus but not necessary.
