Manufacturing Service Technician Manufacturing Service Technician The Manufacturing Service Technician will provide both telephone technical support and customer service support related to the to the product line to include Elemano (Blood Pressure Cuff Monitor). This position is the main point of telephone contact with the customer. The position will provide technical advice to correct a problem as well as equipment maintenance and data entry. Otherwise, the position will arrange for repair or return of the product. May require travel to customer sites; perform staff in-service, troubleshoot devices and view process within each facility. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Associate is responsible to follow requirements of applicable national and international regulations.Receives telephone calls related to problems with the Product line to include Elemano. After verifying customer information, inquires of customer the nature of the problem. If possible, assists customer by using trouble shooting steps and technical assistance to resolve the problem. May be required to contact additional support staff to determine correction. If problem cannot be fixed via the telephone, position will arrange for device to be returned to and repaired. Verifies service contract status. Assist customers with payment information and instructions for returning and receiving their device. Forwards payment information in a timely manner to appropriate department for processing. Enters information, including order number and special instructions for handling, and maintain records of customer profiles on database. As the liaison between the customer and the factory in expediting the order, ensure processing in a timely manner to maintain customer satisfaction. Release standing orders in accordance with pre-determined shipping dates. Insures accurate return of repaired device to customer. Upon completion of the total order process, file order in customer file and update appropriate tracking system.Assist with technical production assembly when necessary. Perform other job related duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Typically requires High School diploma coupled with 2 to 3 years manufacturing and technical experience.Aptitude and proficiency in electronic and mechanical equipment repairs is essential to this position.This position requires the ability to work in a fast paced environment and retain composure to deal with customers in a highly professional manner. Ability to work irregular hours, and lift approximately 60 lbs. Excellent oral communication skills.Computer literate with strong data entry skill.Requires travel.Must be able to carry out duties without supervision and must have strong organizational skills.The individual should be motivated and possess above average communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:Two-year degree in an engineering or electro-mechanical technology field of study. Educational RequirementsTypically requires High School education
