70,000.00 - 75,000.00 USD /year Position Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: Medical/Health Manufacturing/ Design Engineer  Job Description: Searching for a Manufacturing Engineer with great interpersonal skills to work in a stable, family owned company with a warm environment, and excellent employee tenure.Our Client in Los Angeles is a leading custom wire and cable manufacturing center, much of their products are for medical products such as defibrillators and EKG cords.Our Client is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes for their wire and cable products. Must have technical approach to problem solving with hands on experience by performing the following duties.RESPONSIBILITIES: -Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods. -Coordinates with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. -Coordinates with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchasing. -Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements. -Reading and interpreting Standards and Specifications for products. -Electrical and Mechanical testing & documenting test procedure results. -Prepare Process Documentations. -Prepare Cable Design Documentations.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: -Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in ELECTRICAL Engineering or equivalent experience. -five to ten years related manufacturing experience. -knowledge of advanced electrical testing. -recent experience with wire and cable manufacturing. -experience in dealing with customers, vendors & agencies. -knowledge of materials: Plastics and Metal manufacturing. -knowledge of UL, CSA & Military standards. -must have knowledge of Manufacturing process flow. -knowledge of Manufacturing software, EXCEL Spreadsheet software, and MS Word Processing software, MS Window software, and Autocad. -familiar with ISO 9000 Quality System, Six-Sigma, Lean or TQM.This position is in Los Angeles, near the Pasadena area.
