The Manager of Electronic Fare Collection directs all aspects of UTA's Electronic Fare Collection (EFC) system. Acts as a leader and expert in pricing and leveraging fare technology. Acts as contract manager over vendors providing software, transaction processing, customer service, administration of fare rules, web services. Manages staff of technical and professional employees providing information, analysis and reporting on customer travel and fares, business partnerships, hardware monitoring, financial reporting and quality assurance. Plans, coordinates and implements significant new features of EFC; such as, fare media, fare rules, business partnerships, information and reporting.
Requirements Minimum Qualifications: 1. EDUCATION/TRAINING Masters Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Technology, Finance, or related field. 2. EXPERIENCE Seven years of project management experience including finance and technology projects, including three years managing professionals. Five years experience in either public transit or electronic payment systems preferred. Thorough knowledge of electronic payment systems, cellular communication, electronics, accounting, and customer interface. 3. OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience. (UTA reserves the right to determine the equivalencies of education and experience). Works with Manager of Electronic Maintenance to ensure the availability and performance of EFC hardware. Works with Chief Communication Officer to provide customer information, complaint resolution and feedback. Works with Chief Financial Officer to manage financial transactions, banking relationships, accounting, auditing, security and fraud control. Works with executive fare policy committee to modify fare policies to optimize revenue and ridership. Monitors EFC system performance daily and acts as the primary point of contact to respond to the needs of all UTA departments and external stakeholders. Maintains and administers UTA fare rules. Advises the General Manager and Board of Trustees on fare policy and administration. Prepares and administers capital and operating budget for EFC for one and five year periods.
