(NYSE: MC), known worldwide by its Panasonic brand name.Currently we are looking to hire a Hardware Design Engineer.Summary Of Position:Perform electrical design, development, and sustaining including layout, analysis, evaluation, prototype build-up, and testing of electronic and electromechanical components and Line Replaceable Units. Participate with members of management in the design and development of products and analysis of customer requirements for avionics systems giving consideration to form, fit, function, weight, productability and cost. Duties:Design/redesign, develop, integrate and test new LRUs with outdated predecessor components and/or functionality. Minimize impact to backward compatibility. ?Perform analysis, qualitative and quantitative tests to determine properties, characteristics and performance of materials, circuits, mechanisms and unit assemblies which failure is classified as a Safety Issue. Recommend design changes to improve safety and reliability. ?Select hardware and material assuring compliance with specifications and product requirements. ?Perform Preliminary Test of modified LRUs to verify they meet Systems requirements, Safety check requirements, EMI and environmental specifications, manufacturability and testability requirements. ?Review ECO (Engineering Change Orders) for completeness and generate SB (Service Bulletin). Qualifications Required:EDUCATION: B.S.E.E. or equivalent. WORK EXPERIENCE: preferred minimum of 3 years in engineering design environment.
