MCM Fabrication Site Manager
Responsibilities
Be a part of Draper Laboratory's exciting new MCM Fabrication enterprise in St. Petersburg, FL. Become the technical and administrative leader of a team focused on the design and low volume fabrication of advanced high density Multi-Chip Modules (MCMs) which incorporate the best of high density printed circuit board style laminate technologies and back end wafer processing technologies to realize ultra-compact electronic assemblies. Applicable technology areas include precision die thinning and pick & place, thin film metal deposition, photolithography, electro-plating, wet and dry etch, high pressure lamination, module singulation and post-processing. Specific responsibilities include:
* Direct supervision of all planning & logistics, product, and process engineering personnel, as well as the overall supervision of the MCM-D Fabrication Facility with the assistance of the MCM Operations Manager. This includes day-day supervision of the start-up and commissioning of the new facility.
* Recruitment and hiring of highly skilled engineering, fabrication and administrative personnel to staff the new facility.
* Definition of overall design and fabrication quality processes and standard operating procedures for the facility as well as ensuring consistent application to all projects.
* Development of staff including preparing and delivering performance reviews for all group personnel
* Development of a long-term process integrity improvement plan for the group, its facilities and staff to meet expected future business needs
* Development of appropriate infrastructure to support a paperless flow using modern MES packages such as PROMIS, Eyelit, etc.
* Management of the work flow through the facility with frequent interaction with Engineering and Program Management.
* Development of a long-term capacity growth plan for the group, its facilities and staff to meet expected future business needs
The MCM Design & Fabrication Group Leader will also serve as the overall site manager for the St. Petersburg FL MCM Fabrication Facility with local supervisory responsibility for all aspects of the facility including Quality Assurance, HR, Administration, and Plant Maintenance.
