Alien Technology is looking for a Lead NVM IC Design Engineer for our Morgan Hill office. This person will be a key contributor within a custom mixed-signal IC design team. Primary responsibilities will be the design of the next generation NVM for RFID ICs and providing leadership for the NVM roadmap and partnerships.
Summary of Duties/Responsibilities:Lead the NVM Development effort at Alien.Perform hands on design and testing of the NVM instances.Perform design and simulation of nonvolatile memory IP products featuring analog and digital circuits, such as decoders, sense amplifiers, charge pumps, and voltage references. Particular emphasis will be on low power, low leakage designs in 0.18-micron and smaller CMOS technologies. Supervise physical design and perform verification of circuits. Participate in other physical design and chip debug / characterization activities as needed.
Education & Experience:BSEE degree, MSEE or PhD is a plus.10-15 years of custom IC design experience.5 years NVM Design experience. 5 years NVM Device Physics experience.In-depth knowledge of nonvolatile memory product (such as Flash or EEPROM) is required.A thorough understanding of foundry device models, design rules, design verification procedures (DRC/LVS, etc.), is essential. Knowledge of industry-standard design entry, simulation, and verification CAD tools from vendors such as Cadence, Synopsys, and Mentor Graphics is required. Strong Skill in digital and analog design. Familiar with NVM operation and EEPROM emulator.Strong knowledge of device physics and testing. Self starter & ability to work as an individual contributor and a leader. Track record of planning and delivering individual contributions.Strong oral and written communication skills.
