Lab Service Engineer

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity! A leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices in Albany, NY is seeking a Lab Service Engineer to start ASAP. Job duties include: Accurately perform service diagnostics/repairs on diverse electromechanical instruments and calibrate as necessary in a timely fashion; work with lab manager and manufacturers to quickly identify and resolve quality issues; communicate with customers regarding repair estimates and satisfy their repair/calibration needs; provide phone support to customers as needed; build and maintain service engineer component inventory. This is a full-time position; hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Rate of pay is dependant on experience.Ideal candidates will possess an Associate's Degree in electronics or equivalent. Candidates should also have the ability to diagnose and repair electronic systems to the component level and on a PCB modular level; should have experience with Microsoft Office products and the ability to adapt to new database systems, and an open mind for learning and using sciences such as chemistry and physics. Mechanical aptitude a must.Strong diagnostic skills and work ethic; organizational skills; excellent communication and people skills; mechanical aptitude.
