Instrumentation Technician

The duties of the Instrumentation Technician include
Install, maintain, calibrate, test & repair measurement and control instrumentation for natural gas, cryogenic liquefied natural gas, water, steam, mercaptan, propane, ethylene, water-glycol, air and nitrogen control systems
Service and repair Honeywell, Emerson and Bristol Distributed Control Systems. Calibrate and troubleshoot instrument loops. Service analyzers and recording instruments
Installs, operates, tests, calibrates, maintains and repairs various types of measurement and control instruments, electronic, mechanical or pneumatic, either manual or automatic. These instruments record, indicate or control, heating value, humidfity or dew point, specific gravity, temperature, combustible mixtures, flow, height, odorant, volume, liquid level, speed, weight and time. Also included are analyzers (Chemical, mechanical and electronic), telemetrics or remote transmission, alarms and safety devices, clocks and regulators. Installs wells, tubes and thermocouples
Makes written reports for all repairs, tests, inspections and calibrations of instruments

Qualifications:Must possess valid drivers license; CDL license a plus Has strong knowledge and understanding of the problems of measurement and controlHigh School diploma or the equivalent required with a combination of education and experience in electronic theory, instrumentation and controls which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Must be able to pass a written test requiring knowledge of electronic theory and instrumentation
Certified Control Technician by the Instrumentation Society of America preferred
