Established Houston based sales firm serving the growing Offshore Drilling and Production and Marine Terminal markets is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to assume responsibilities for new account sales and business development activities for the US. This position offers opportunity for growth, a competitive salary and commission structure.

Allison is the US Agent and Distributor for a British manufacturer of marine oriented monitoring and control instrumentation and mooring hardware. The company focuses on two (2) primary markets, offshore drilling and production and marine terminals for tankers and LNG carriers.
Â
Target Customers in the offshore oil and gas market include Oil companies, Vessel owners, Engineering firms, shipyards and equipment manufacturers.
Products supplied include monitoring and control instrumentation for mooring equipment, production rises, hull stress, hull performance, sea state, weather and global position.
Â
Target Customers in the marine terminal market include Refineries, owners of LNG terminal facilities, and Owners of public and private docks, Engineering firms and Construction companies. Products supplied include mooring hardware, monitoring instrumentation for vessel approach and docking, instrumentation for monitoring mooring conditions and integrated berth management systems.

Responsibilities
Â
New Customers
 Make introductory cold calls to new target Customers with the goal of expanding the company’s Customer base. Provide information to prospective Customers on the company, products and services Assist in efforts to secure approval as qualified Supplier with new prospective Customers
Â
Established Customers
 Maintain current/regular contact with established customer base through scheduled phone, email and direct mail activities Maintain current Customer profiles: contacts, organization, bid and procurement process, project resume, current projects

General Market
 Seek out, research and profile information on prospective projects through established sales contacts and cold calls Maintain current information on industry activities and trends Track progress and status of prospective projects Assist in development and monitoring of market and sales forecasts Maintain inquiry, and quote activity data base; qualify project opportunities Maintain current information on project status, bid and procurement status Work with Suppliers to develop technical and commercial bid packages Assist in the efforts to secure and respond to RFQ, RFP and bid documents

Education/Requirements
 Minimum 2 years college preferred, technical degree a plus Outgoing, energetic, self starter Good organization skills Excellent people skills Enjoys new account sales activities Â
Experience
 Minimum 5 years inside sales and/or customer service experience Previous business development, cold calling experience is required Background selling instrumentation and control instrumentation a plus Refinery or Oil and Gas or related industry experience is preferred Background in manufacturing environment a plus
