We focus on creating an innovative work environment which supports our long term strategy to compete globally and operate profitably.Powering a Better Future since 1947  International Rectifier currently has an opportunity for an IC Design Engineer in our North Kingstown, RI facility.  During the product definition phase of a project the successful candidate will work with the system applications team to optimize product definitions, develop die size estimates to support cost modeling, and participate in generating a risk matrix for the product.  During the product development phase this individual will be responsible for developing schematics for both analog and mixed-signal IC's, conduct extensive circuit simulations of these designs to guarantee the manufacturability of the final product, conduct periodic design reviews with his peers, direct the layout designer in the physical design, run post layout simulations, and approve the final layout before tape out.  This candidate will also review the design with the test team and train them how to properly test the device as well as participate in the characterization of prototype devices in order to guarantee proper functionality.The successful candidate will have a minimum 5 years experience in analog and/or mixed signal design.  A proven history of developing functional circuit blocks like precision bandgaps, high speed comparators, low offset amplifiers, DAC's, LDO's etc.  The candidate will be working primarily with Cadence design tools so familiarity with these tools will be a plus.  The candidate must work well in a team environment and be high motivated.  Effective written and verbal skills are a must.  A BSEE is minimum but a MSEE or PHD with an emphasis in power management or analog design is preferred. Apply on Line to www.irf.com E Mail pbasfor1@irf.com
