Human Resources Generalist
Located in: San Jose, CA 95101 As the Human Resources Generalist for Micron's San Jose location, you will perform a variety of human resource functions ensuring efficient delivery of HR services. The core function of this senior level position is to partner with customer groups at the site and corporate HR teams to link HR services with organizational strategy and objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Ensures the efficient delivery of HR programs by understanding business initiatives and coordinating HR services. Partners with functional HR areas to develop, disseminate, and implement company and/or HR initiatives, and ensures those activities are in compliance with applicable employment laws. Participates in the development of HR programs, policies and strategies. Effectively coordinates all HR services including, but not limited to: Employee Relations, Compensation, Performance Management, etc. Establishes relationships with managers, supervisors, team members and functional HR areas to ensure that HR issues are addressed in a timely manner. Will be relied upon as an expert for all HR activities at our San Jose location. Ability to flex and re-prioritize activities as changes in business occurs. Opportunity to build culture and drive change in a high-tech environment. Domestic travel to corporate headquarters required on a quarterly basis. Opportunities may exist for international projects and assignments within two years. Represents HR or the business on customer initiated projects. Identifies opportunities for customer training, and delivers effective and efficient HR training solutions. Proactively identifies key metrics that are used to drive business decisions. (Industry and benchmark) This position requires an action-oriented, HR professional with broad human resource experience. Successful candidates for this position will have: The ability to work with employees at all levels and manage sensitive issues in a confidential manner. Proven track record in developing and executing effective HR programs, which add significant value to the business. Strong business acumen and project management skills. Knowledge or experience with performance management, headcount planning, compensation, employee relations and recruiting. Excellent problem solving, time management, and prioritization skills. Ability to identify objectives with the leadership team and implement with minimal direction. Strong knowledge of State and Federal Employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, FLSA Immigration, EEO) Ability to analyze data, interpret results and recommend appropriate action. Proficiency with PC and business software applications. Presentation experience is required.Education & Experience:BA or equivalent and at least 5 years of broad Human Resource experience. Join Us!
