Harness/Cable Assembler

Harness/Cable AssemblerDescription: Performs assembly and rework of electronic equipment working to a variety of information with different levels of assembly complexity. Requirements: 1. Performs assembly or wire harnesses, chassis, cables and circuit cards using source documents such as Assembly Procedures, schematics and Engineering Drawings, which may or may not depict actual wire routing or component placement. 2. Prepares component parts and wire prior to installation using hand or mechanical equipment to form, cut, strip or mark as applicable.3. Inserts component parts into circuit boards and does mechanical assembly or chassis using various hand tools.4. Bonds parts and material using various cements, adhesive compounds and heat transfer substances.5. Routes wiring and makes terminations using solder, crimping or lugging tolls and does hand solder or solder touch up on circuit board assemblies. 6. Performs wiring continuity checks using various equipment to ensure functional operation.7. Cleans assemblies using solvents or aqueous methods.8. Performs test/inspection rework and makes engineering order modifications as required.9. Responsible for ensuring that the product meets all quality standards. 10. Must possess current solder certification (including passing eye examination), ESD certification, a hazardous material handling qualification, documentation qualification, and inspection business practice certification.11.
