Financial Analyst, Senior- QUALCOMM Ventures

Job Description
Key position within QUALCOMM Ventures responsible for market investment-specific analysis and due-diligence as well as portfolio management and performance tracking of investments. Partner with Investment Managers to perform in-depth financial due diligence including market and financial valuation analysis for early to mid-stage private equity venture capital investment opportunities around the globe. Perform in-depth industry and market analysis to help determine key strategic areas for investment. Participate in the quarterly review of a $100M+ investment portfolio, which will include status review of portfolio companies and coordination of relevant information with Portfolio Company, investment managers and accounting. Manage the post-investment transaction analysis by conducting valuation analysis related to company exits through IPO and M&A. Serve as the liaison between Legal, Treasury and Accounting to ensure accurate and timely management of investment funds. Provide support to Accounting for their monthly and quarterly closing process. Other periodic strategic support/analytical projects.


Skills/Experience
Ideal candidate would have minimum of two years of Investment Banking experience (Analyst program) with direct financial analysis, Discounted Cash Flow modeling and valuation experience required. Experience in the Technology industry is strongly preferred. Wireless or telecom market experience is desirable. Must have an ability to work in a team environment as well as an ability to work independently given various deadlines.
A thorough knowledge of advanced finance concepts.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, quantitative and writing skills a must. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically an in-depth knowledge of financial modeling tools within Microsoft Excel, required.
An ability to multi-task competing requests while ensuring integrity, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of projects. An outgoing and assertive personality with an interest in Strategic Investing and Venture Capital.
