Field Service Engineer - Position Summary:
Installs, checks out, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment. Provides guidance and training to customer personnel in establishing operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques. Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action. Advises and assists in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation. Devises and implements preventive maintenance Programs and keeps performance and maintenance records on equipment. Participates in installation planning phase.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for servicing accounts within a specified territory to ensure minimum downtime for equipment and customer satisfaction:
· Provides installation, preventative maintenance, upgrades, product support, troubleshooting and repair services to Haemonetics equipment to customers.
· Establishes and maintains customer relationships, takes on account ownership and cultivates steady revenue through service contracts. Communicates with manager and Sales Representative regarding potential customer leads or concerns.
· Key contact in response to emergency calls in less than 24 hours. Manages parts inventory and service expenses within budget.
· Provides back-up to other Field Service Engineers.
· High percent of travel (approx. 2-3 night stays/week).
Education and Experience Required:
· Associates Degree, 2 year-technical degree or military experience in electronics is required.
· 0-2 years technical experience
· Strong customer service skills, able to work independently, and able to manage own territory and assist where needed.
