Field Network Support Engineer

 We are currently seeking an experienced Network Support Engineer in our Elizabethtown, Pa office.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilitiese include:Provide both on and off site installation and post installation support services.Keep ESG Administrator updated on all customer issues. Contact customers within two hours of receiving a request for support service.Document all support services on work orders. Return work orders and/or installation delivery forms signed by the appropriate customer representative promptly for invoicing.Promote products and services offered by Engle Business Systems Work closely with sales department Pass along sales leads Suggest new products and services that will benefit our customers Participate in site surveys Assist ESG Administrator with quotation preparationAssist service technicians Attend product training seminars and classes, and maintain required certifications.

 

Technical Qualifications include:3-5 years field experienceMCSE certification Server 2003 or 2008CCNA certification Working knowledge of:

· Microsoft server operating systems

· Microsoft Exchange

· Microsoft Sharepoint Services

· Microsoft SQL

· Microsoft .NET

· Microsoft Terminal Server

· Microsoft desktop operating systems

· Backup solutions – preferably ARCserve and/or Symantec Backup Exec

· Firewalls – preferably WatchGuard

· Spam solutions – preferably Barracuda

· Network designComputer hardware (servers and desktops)

*Extra credentials that would be a plus but not a requirement to be considered for this position

· Oracle

· AS/400 solutions

· Linux

 

Additional Qualifications include:

1. Excellent verbal and written communications skills

2. Work in conjunction with network sales team to design, propose and install networks

  3. Attention to detail

  4. Able to work well in an independent or team environment

  5. Able to travel to the New York / New Jersey offices to perform job responsibilities (larger percentage of the time 

will be spent in the Elizabethtown, PA office.)
