We are currently seeking a Field Technician for the Baton Rouge, LA area.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Installs and maintains electronic systems. Trains customers on the use of systems. Maintains accurate parts inventory. Procures materials. Maintains daily recordkeeping documentation. Works with area manager staff to ensure service standards and responsiveness needs are met. Interfaces with customers to resolve installation and service issues.Reviews and implements quality control processes within the area to ensure customer expectations are met. Provides site surveys and cost estimates for sales as needed. Interfaces with other departments to maximize efficiencies, effectiveness, and profitability throughout the installation and service process. Works with field resources and internal departments to meet established goals and objectives while maintaining profitability within the department. Obtains licenses and permits as required. Train/mentor other technicians.POSITION REQUIREMENTS: AA or BSET in Electronics or equivalent military training. 3-5 years experience installing and servicing alarm/intrusion detection systems. Experience testing, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance/repair skills. Experience with oscilloscope and digital meter. Computer proficiency (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail). Valid and clean driver’s license in state of residence. State and local low voltage licenses required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and proven ability to produce quality work. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to communicate technical issues to customers. Ability to lift at least 55 lbs and 25 lbs over head. Ability to work on ladders, lifts and new construction sites.
