FIELD APPLICATIONS/REFERENCE DESIGN ENGINEER

EPCOS (Electronic Parts and Components) manufactures and markets state-of-the-art electronic components for a variety of applications.  EPCOS is a global market leader.  We currently have an excellent opportunity which offers considerable challenge and growth in a progressive, fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

The Field Applications Engineer will work with the sales team in providing technical support to the customer base, including presentations of EPCOS new technologies and products, and will also work with the EPCOS technical marketing team in identifying new technology trends and developing application-based tools to promote EPCOS solutions.  Emphasis will be on the consumer, RF, and reference design segments with a concentration on the ceramics, inductive, and SAW component segments.  Position requires a technical degree or equivalent (BSEE preferred, MSEE a plus) and a minimum of five years related experience.  Must have aptitude for working with customers in a consultative and competitive environment and the ability to conduct presentations and training in support of sales and marketing efforts.

Must have a minimum of three years of design engineering experience.  The ideal candidate will have application knowledge as it relates to reference designs.  Must have a strong aptitude for working with customers and the ability to provide solutions to design challenges.  Must be a take-charge individual who is organized and possesses excellent communication skills. Must have previous experience in a customer or sales support role. Travel is required.
