Position Description:Engineer (FW Eng2) --- Fremont, CAPosition open in Fremont CA or in Norcross GA Responsibilities• You will develop RAID firmware for intelligent IO controllers.• Coding is done in C, some C++. Focus is on development and maintaining the firmware RAID storage stack. • Documentation is required to maintain a history of events and provide internal/external partners with insight on our design. • Good written/verbal communication skills are required. • Must be process oriented. Qualifications• BSCS or equivalent with 3 to 5 years or MSCS or equivalent with 1+ year embedded software development experience in storage. • Be an energetic, creative, positive, and results-oriented individual.• Resourceful, flexible, and adaptable to rapid change.• Have knowledge and development experience in the area of storage technologies including RAID and “SAS or SCSI or SATA�. • Experience with embedded software development.• Working knowledge with the following embedded processors is preferred- Intel i960, XScale and IBM power PC.• Knowledge of microprocessors, system architecture, compiler theory and I/O systems, in addition to experience with software debug tools is required.• Experience with ClearCase is highly desirable. Candidates must be process oriented with good written and verbal communication skills.• Comfortable working with a geographically distributed team.
