The RTP Design Center develops advanced CPU, chip, and software technologies for the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform that is leading the industry in mobile computing performance and power efficiency.

As part of the RTP team you will contribute to advancing the state-of-the art in industry leading software solutions for high-performance, long battery life, always-connected, mobile computing platforms.

Job responsibilities:
Software development and optimization for mobile computing platforms
Device driver development
Software bring-up
System power and performance optimization
Board support package development, integration, and test

Skills/Experience
3+ years of embedded or mobile device software development experience
Analytical problem solving
C/C++ programming
Debugging on real time systems and/or mobile devices
Device driver development
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a multi-discipline, team environment

Additional Skills
Assembly language programming
WinCE, Windows Mobile and Linux
UMPC, mobile internet device, or Smartphone software development
ARM architecture and instruction sets
Hardware debuggers, emulators, logic analyzers, performance analysis tools

Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
