Electronics Technician

Job Purpose:Builds electronic systems, components, and parts by completing assembly and testing procedures.Duties:* Inspects, audits, and reports on materials, processes and products to ensure conformance with the company's quality standards.* Assists in the investigation of quality issues with supplied components, finished products and related quality issues.* Conducts final testing of finished products through internal diagnostics and visual observations.* Uses complex fixtures and tools to troubleshoot and test equipment.* Describes system, components, and parts operating characteristics and malfunctions by writing technical reports; preparing charts, graphs, and schematics.* Verifies product performance by doing a variety of testing such as cycle, vibration, environmental, thermal, stress, and shock.* Assists engineers with fabricating and assembling systems for prototype models from schematics, rough sketches, and verbal instructions.* Performs calibration checks on electronic instruments.* Troubleshoot in-house automated test equipment.* Prepare statistical reports, charts, and graphs using appropriate software tools.* Documents and reports on "out of box" returns and product failures.* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Skills/Qualifications:Electronic Testing Skills, Electronic Production Technologies, Electronic Systems Knowledge, Quality Focus, Equipment Maintenance, Research Skills, Power Tools, Welding, Fabrication, Soldering, Presenting Technical Information. Have ability to use equipment such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, power meters, spectrum analyzers, computers, RF test sets and miscellaneous test fixtures. A.A. Degree in electronics or related field OR 4+ years experience with related work. PC skills a must-- preferably Microsoft.
