Electronic Technician

Location:  Woodstock, Georgia

The Electronic Technician must have sufficient knowledge and skills to trouble shoot, repair, and test a wide range of electronic equipment, such as high voltage switching power supplies, high power RF amplifier and circuit boards down to the component level.

This classification excludes repairers of such standard electronic equipment as common office machines and household radio and television sets; production assemblers and testers; workers whose primary duty is servicing electronic test instruments; technicians who have only administrative or supervisory responsibility; drafters and designers.

The Electronics Technician should have expertise in the following areas:A comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex electronic equipment problems. Familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits. Knowledge of digital electronics, RF communication, RF coil repair experience will be considered a plus Ability to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic probes, network analyzers, etc. Judgment in determining work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments. A thorough knowledge of the principles of electricity and electronics as they apply to shop practices and techniques involving electrical and electronic circuitry. Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, manuals, handbooks and technical specifications. Ability to work with or without schematics.

Minimum Qualifications Standards:Associates Degree in Electronics Engineering or Electronics Technology from an accredited school. Work experience that would qualify as Associates Degree in Electronics Engineering or Electronics Technology. Live or relocate to a reasonable commuting distance to downtown Woodstock, GA area.
