Electronic Technician, 2nd/3rd shift
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:• Troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment that includes industrial controls, motor starters, VFD's, relays, temperature controls, photo eyes, etc.• Use of a Oscilloscopes, Voltage Meters, Current Meters, Function Generators, Logic analyses, etc.• Troubleshooting to board and component level using above test equipment with or without schematics.• PLC diagnostics using ladder logic languages (RSLogix, Medoc, Keyence, etc.).• Use of PC/PLCs using Windows/Dos/Unix operating systems.• Panel building and wiring various machine control circuits.• Complete PM/Calibrations using procedures & various certified test equipment.• Soldering, De-soldering, cable building, troubleshooting circuit continuity.• Ability to read/draw electrical/electronic schematics to component level.• AC/DC Motor troubleshooting, repair, and replacement.• Robotics (Fanuc, Staubli, Adept) maintenance, programming, troubleshooting, etc.• Motion Control, including steppers, servos, linear actuators, etc.• PC/PLC networking using Device Net, RS-232, DH-485, 10/100T Ethernet and remote I/O.• Manufacturing Assembly machinery upgrades, wiring, troubleshooting, etc.• Vision System troubleshooting and repair (Acuity, PPT, Cognex, DVT,etc.).• Advanced PLC Programming, Human Machine Interface programming.• Good working knowledge of single/three-phase AC sources, Delta/Y configurations, 120, 208, 480volts.• Adhere to plant policies/procedures, department safety rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), ISO 9002 regulations and Good Housekeeping procedures.Requirements: Education: A.S. Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical and/or military training.Experience: 3-5 years Industrial Electronics experience preferred.Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Must have the ability to provide electronic leadership to personnel in the assigned area. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees in the organization. Ability to present information and respond to questions. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to calculate rate and percent and interpret basic graphs. Strong written and oral communication to include technical communication skills (both oral and written) to accurately convey technical issues and information. Electrical/Electronic troubleshooting abilities with a working knowledge of electrical controls, motors, and feedback components required. Ability to read electro mechanical drawings. Ability to define problems, to collect data, to establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
