Electrical Engineer--Product Development Manager
The Photonics GroupRespond with resume to dab@mri-rtp.com Description: Developer of a full line of high energy solid state laser products that are used in scientific, industrial and commercial applications is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to plan and conduct the product development activities of the Electrical Engineering Team. Responsibilities: * Apply electronics theories and research techniques to the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems * Estimate time, expense and manpower; specify materials, equipment and supplies required for the completion of assigned technical projects. * Coordinate the efforts of the technical support staff; provide direction; review the status of on-going projects; evaluate results and recommending corrective action and changes in technical approaches. Education/experience: * BSEE or equivalent, 5 or more years of progressively complex technical experience in the development of sophisticated electronic products. Experience with laser electronics, circuit design, analog circuit design and microprocessor based control circuit design required. Familiarity with high voltage power supplies and high voltage circuitry design a definite plus. Should be familiar with relevant engineering design tools such as ORCAD, circuit simulators and printed circuit board design techniques. PIC microprocessor-programming knowledge a plus.
