Electrical Engineer - Manufacturing - Windsor, CO
Electrical Engineer - Manufacturing - Windsor, CO Responsible for low voltage/ high voltage supply cabinets, power supplies, and/or load centers. Provides continuous electrical engineering support to the production processes and related equipment. Designs and develops HMI and PLC control systems. Designs and develops drives for web conveyance systems. Ensures electrical standards, codes and safety practices are adhered to throughout the building and the production operations. Initiates technology development for continuous improvement of electrical control systems. Required Skills/Experience: Must be capable of designing, installing and debugging manufacturing processes or upgrades to existing processes, instrumentation and equipment. Experience with providing plans, designs, time and cost estimates, and management of projects and shutdown maintenance of equipment, systems, and components. Capable of analyzing and developing solutions and/or alternatives to technical problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures by applying theories and principles of science/engineering and mathematics. B.S. Electrical Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Data collection, analysis, and reporting skills, excellent troubleshooting / problem solving skills, project management skills (planning, meeting deadlines, managing budgets), planning/organization. Attention to detail, follow through, excellent communications / interpersonal skills, including presentation skills. Able to work with cross-functional teams and communicate with all levels of the organization, computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, flexible as needed to provide support to 24 x 7 manufacturing operation. 5% travel may be required. Must be willing to work shifts, overtime and weekends/holidays as required by business needs or project deadlines. Climbing, walking, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, working around chemicals, subdued lighting. Able to wear appropriate PPE (e.g. respirators, self contained breathing apparatus).
