We are seeking a Digital Design Engineer!

 

Summary:

 

Our client located in Poway, CA has a permanent job opportunity for a Digital Design Engineer. 

 

The Digital Design Engineer will participate and drive all phases of hardware development life cycle for the project. Evaluate system requirements and present and defend recommended solutions. Architect, design and implement modulator/ demodulator systems, microprocessor systems, video and audio codec systems. Interface with other development groups to ensure overall project success.

 

 

Requirements:

 

Education: BSEE
Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience (Digital Hardware design).

 

Technical skills required:

· High level of VHDL and Verilog Language coding skills.

· Skilled in FPGA development design (Xilinx), simulation, synthesis and debugging.

· Significant experience using advanced debugging techniques and tools, including JTAG, ICE, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.

· Experienced in PCB schematic design and layout

· Experience with broadcast Video, Audio and MPEG2 transport standards.

·  

The following skills are a plus:

· Experience with MPEG2 codecs.

· Experience with COFDM Modulators and demodulators

· Experienced with Matlab and Simulink

· Knowledge of Analog Design and RF an advantage.

· Knowledge of Electronic Assembly Manufacture.

· Knowledge of C language an advantage

· Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Visual Basic)
