Job Description
Senior System Engineer
Qualcomm Government Technologies has a mission to promote and advance Qualcomm's wireless terrestrial and satellite communication technologies to the government community of users. New products, innovations, research and development in all areas of the company's technology are applied to address the unique communication challenges of government users.
In this role as a System Engineer, you will support government-sponsored research and development of such systems including adaptation and extension of commercial systems to novel applications and environments, as well as internal development efforts.
Skills/Experience
Proven knowledge in the following areas:
Communications systems Physical layer standards and data communication protocols
Digital signal processing and communication theory
Demonstrated software skills and the ability to construct detailed simulations of physical layer and system performance
System requirement and architecture development
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential
US citizenship required
Applicants selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Additional Skills
Strong foundation in communications theory and digital signal processing
Solid background in cellular communication systems across layers and good understanding of the product development aspects associated with the wireless industry
Current TS/SCI is a plus
Education Requirements
