Responsible for results in terms of budget adherence, process development, and staff developmentESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. • Ensure die bank and shipping functions, operate in a manner to support global supply chain requirements. • Manage the resources within the department to ensure the requirements of internal and external customers are met on time. • Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. • Recommends, documents, and implements process changes: with the goal of continuously improving productivity and organizational effectiveness. • Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers. • Presentation of technical information concerning specific projects, schedules, etc. • Ensure that the quality of the products and services we provide meet our customers expectations. • Report the results of the performance to schedule, errors, and productivity. • Maintain departmental procedures in compliance with SOX, ISO, and all quality initiatives. • Actively mange the workflow for the department. • Other duties may be assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: • College degree preferred • APICS certification and/or production planning seminars/training a plusExperience: • 2-to 4 years experience in shipping, receiving and warehouse operations with some leadership responsibilities. • Experience in a high velocity environment requiring quick decision-making. • Ability to communicate across all levels of management. • Strong PC skills, primarily Microsoft Office products. • Working knowledge of ERP, inventory management, and planning software programs • Understanding of Lean concepts and the ability to implement these techniques throughout organization.Powering a Better Future since 1947 Submit Your Resume Online Now
