Development Engineer
MEMSCAP, Inc., an innovative advanced technology company in RTP is seeking a Development Engineer to design, develop, and fabricate MEMS (Micro Electrical Mechanical Systems) products from Concept to Production.  Reporting to the Fabrication Manager, this position is responsible for the development of new products and technologies including device design, process flow development, fabrication and test.

Responsibilities
Â
§        Work with internal and external customers in design and modeling of MEMS devices
§        Develop fabrication process flows that result in robust, manufacturable MEMS devices that meet the customers requirements
·        Oversee fabrication of MEMS devices
§        Develop new processes and optimize existing processes to enhance device fabrication
§        Develop test methods and test MEMS devices
§        Verify models based on results of device fabrication
§        Project management and interaction with customers
 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

§        Ability to manage complex projects and associated resources.Â
§        Conduct independent technical investigations of complex process and device issues, determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
§        Strong technical understanding of several different process areas.
§        Solid interpersonal and communications skills and ability to interface effectively with customers.
§        MEMS design and modeling using common tools
 Education and Experience
Â
§        BS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field, plus 5 to 10 years experience in MEMS or related process or device engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Â
§        Hands on experience with a broad range of MEMS process technologies (plasma etch, photolithography, diffusion, metallization, electroplating etc.) required
§        Design and modeling of a variety of MEMS devices highly desired
