Job Description Job Title: Depot Repair/Electronics TechnicianReports To: (note direct and matrix reporting lines as applicable) Sam RiahyGroup/Division: Service, PS. /PIDCareer Band: Location: Sugar LandNo. of Direct Reports: 0Day/Shift: DayFLSA Status: Non-Exempt General Purpose: The purpose of this position is to apply electronic knowledge and theory to test, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair electronic instruments. The individual will work on a variety of Microprocessor based systems including but not limited to Gas and Liquid Flow meters, Nuclear Density and Level gauges. Essential Duties / Responsibilities:· Perform functional and operational tests on individual circuits, subassemblies and complete systems using controlled test procedures and schematics.· Interpret test data and repair digital and analog boards to component level. · Responsible for quality of outgoing products (Defined as conformance to written specifications).· Able to meet or exceed customer requirements in a challenging high-energy environment· Accountable for customer property and other material tested or used in repair area. Adhere to all safety guidelines Insures cleanliness of work area Other duties as assigned Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements: Educational Requirements: AAS, Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent formal training from an accredited Technical, Trade or Military School. Two years experience can be substituted for each year of formal training along with completion of basic electronics requirements such as AC/DC Circuits, Solid State Devices, Integrated Devices, Assembly & Soldering Skills, and Microprocessor Theory from an accredited Technical, Trade or Military School. SMT Soldering Certification is a plus. Experience/Requirements: Must have two to four years troubleshooting experience to component level Knowledge of Nuclear level and density gauges and Flow Computer systems a plus. Experience in Electro-Mechanical devices is a plus. Must be computer literate Ability to solder, surface mount components preferred. Good communication skills both oral and written Ability to solve work related problems with minimal supervision Manage sudden schedule changes in a professional manner. Work in a team environment as well as independently. Must be able to lift 50 pounds Travel is not part of the normal Depot Technician duties however, it may be required on rare occasions.
