Currently we have an opening for a Deductions Analyst III at our Panasonic Corporation of North America (PNA) office located in Rolling Meadows, IL.Basic FunctionCustomer Service Support, including more complex accountsResolution of Chargeback Deductions including research, identification, processing of credit memos within authority parameters and the application of necessary adjustment/recoding Wash out.On those Chargebacks outside normal pricing, returns, freight, Salestax, etc. decide whether extenuating circumstances warrant further pursuit of Management Decisions (Sales, Marketing, and Fiancé).Reduce all Chargebacks over 90 days by 50 to 75 % and keep newly created Chargebacks under the targeted total for each unit company.Provide Collectible Letters to our Customers and Credit Department after research was done and the Items were deemed collectible by the decision of not issuing a credit memo to the customer.Assist the Credit Department with any information needed for the Collections of Collectible Chargebacksand make recommendations with customers that are on Credit Holds due to Chargeback Deductions. Assist and advises the Accounting Department of the Chargeback Coding on any check application that includes Chargebacks. Create and prepare various Monthly/Weekly reports and summaries for presentations and discussions of both current status and trend projections in Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. Schedule any necessary meeting with other Departments and/or our Customers to better improve Chargeback processes and resolution of existing Chargebacks. Must be willing to work periodic overtime as required and no time off the last two days of the month and the first day of each month.Travel may be required.Other duties as assigned by Manager as follows: Provide direction to other members of the Chargeback Staff.Review Monthly Reports with Supervisor/Manager to ensure that established Individual/Group Targets/Goals are met. Review and analyze customer?s deduction trends to make recommendations for solutions.Has authority to review/approve Credit Memos/Checks for fellow staff members as delegated by Supervisor/Manager in absence of Supervisor/Manager within each Unit Sales Company ThresholdOther:Must be proactive with the front line and collaborative with the FSO team to ensure quality support of management. Must participate in resolving problems and improve processes across functional lines.Take a professional interest in helping the FSO team achieve operational excellence; be communicative and responsive and work together to improve service.Participate in all facets of training and development including job rotation, an essential part of the FSO development plan, which not only adds value to each individual?s career path, but the company?s plan for employee development, as well.Insures full compliance with MEI and PNA policies, internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley Act.Insures protection of company assets in all areas through front line knowledge and experience.Scope and Competency RequirementsEducation: BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience preferred.Experience: 4 - 6 years experience.Proficiency: Must demonstrate strong research skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems within and out of their areas. MS OFFICE and SAP Knowledge.Communications: Excellent oral/written skills. Must be able to interface with all internal departments and all levels of management.Management: Effective time management skills.
