Currently we have an opening for an Accounting Coordinator at our Panasonic Corporation of North America (PNA) offices located in Rolling Meadows, IL. Basic Function: Cash ApplicationAccountabilities 1. Apply and code payments to customer accounts receivable. a. Prepare necessary spreadsheet analysis when needed. b. Ensure overall customer payments are properly applied to accounts. c. Determine proper chargeback or write-off code. d. Inform Credit Department of an unusual deduction on a customer payment. e. Request needed back up documents to ensure proper coding. f. Research and provide detail explanations of an application to the Credit Department when necessary to reduce chargeback.2. Analyze and close open items on SAP Daily Cash Application Edit Report. a. Review Daily Cash Application Edit Report for any discrepancies and close open items on the report. b. Research and resolve system auto cash application errors. c. Print, distribute and maintain reports as requested by management.3. Process adjustments to customer accounts as requested by sales company Credit and Finance departments. a. Review and control of input documents. b. Determined proper chargeback or write-off code. c. Make sure all adjustment requests have proper approvals.4. Prepare and process interdivisional transfer to other PNA divisions.5. Research and resolve past applications when needed.6. Assist A/R Clerks in complex or problems situations.7. Other: a. Must have the ability to perform in cross-functional jobs and environments. It is necessary to rotate jobs as this an integral part of the developmental plan which adds value to each individual?s job and the company. b. If problems/issues are unresolved, must go to the higher level to ensure resolution. Always escalate when necessary. c. Insures full compliance with MEI and PNA policies, internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley Act. d. Insures protection of company assets in all areas through front line knowledge and experience. Education: 1. High School diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.Experience: 1. 3 ? 5 years business experience or similar environment.Proficiency: 1. Proficiency in personal computer skills. Knowledge of Windows, other pertinent software.Communications: 1. Maintain positive communications with assigned customers.
