CORPORATE CONTROLLER

Netcom, Inc. designs, develops and manufacturer custom RF and Microwave components and sub-assemblies.  Netcom, Inc. is a preferred OEM supplier of custom solutions for Cellular/PCS, Paging, Satellite, Broadband Access, Optical Networking, Medical Diagnostics, Avionics and Military applications.  Current product portfolio includes RF & Transient Noise Filters, Oscillators, Synthesizers, Power Supplies, Amplifiers, Transceivers and Up-Down Frequency Converters.

 

We are currently in need of a Corporate Controller for our facility in Wheeling, IL.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

Supervise general accounting personnel and submit month-end financial reports to the management. Primarily responsible for overseeing bank balances, maintaining line of credit, accelerating cash receipts and controlling disbursements.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

1. Supervises accounts receivable collections and resolves problems referred by the A/R representative.

2. Supervises accounts payable; approves weekly disbursement schedule and resolves problems referred by A/P representative.

3. Oversees functions performed by support staff (A/P & A/R reps).

4. Projects and manages weekly cash flows.

5. Responsible for bank reports and account reconciliation.

7. Prepares and reconciles general journal entries and performs month-end closing.

8. Prepares monthly financial package for management review.

9. Works with auditors to conduct annual financial audit.

10. Responsible for petty cash functions; disbursements and reconciliation.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1. Works closely with the Human Resources Manager relating to the payroll function.

2. Works with department managers on issues involving accounts receivable, payables, and administration.

3. Confers with the Executive Vice President on matter relating to department personnel, financial issues, and other related projects.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

1. Degree in Accounting – CPA preferred

2. Five to ten years experience in accounting functions (manufacturing preferred)

3. Knowledge of MRP oriented accounting systems.

4. Working knowledge of GAAP.

5. Good written and oral communication.
