JOB DESCRIPTIONThe successful candidate will be responsible for the set up and operation of machining centers, CNC lathe, jig grinders (Hauser) and horizontal grinders. The candidate will comprehend related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings and machining methods and sequences. Additionally, the candidate will support manufacturing lines and new product development work/parts. Responsibilities include the following: Be a part of world class manufacturing practices Maintain clean and safe working environment Machine Programming is a plus, TekSoft Pro-Cam and Teksoft Solidworks SP3.1 Keep machine, tooling and parts in order as part of world class 6S program Read and interpret blueprints Calculate and set machine positions relating to work piece cutting depth, speed and feed Enter commands or manually adjust machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining Operate machine manually to perform non-automated functions when necessary Discuss continuous improvement, ideas and input with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems Comprehend related technical data to determine product introductions, tooling, setup machine methods and settings QUALIFICATIONSThe qualified candidate must possess 5 years experience in CNC machine set up and operations, ability to learn machine programming, familiarity with machine maintenance and a proven knowledge in commands to retrieve preprogrammed instructions from database.
