CAD Operator
Life Safety Systems, with headquarters in Manassas, VA, has an opening for a CAD Operator. LSS is a solutions provider of low-voltage electronics and life safety systems for education, healthcare, and government in the Greater Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and Maryland areas. Since 1978, LSS has been engineering, installing and maintaining fire alarms, intercoms, security systems, nurse call systems, and much more.
The CAD Operator's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Create background drawings
Produce floor plans for various low voltage systems
Maintain and update as-built drawings
Create specific details required in the engineering department
Complete AutoCad red line drawings
Requirements for this position are:
High school diploma
Drafting school diploma
2-3 year's AutoCad experience, electronics background a plus
Electronics background is a plus but not required
Must be able to work overtime if needed
Must be able to multitask and must be a self starter
