Fiberoptic Components LLC, (FOC) located in Sterling, MA is a leading manufacturer of custom fiber optic cables and cable sub-assemblies.

Â

We are seeking a buyer that will be responsible for the procurement of services and supplies to support our engineering design and manufacturing operations. The successful candidate, working with our operations manager, will support our procurement activities, assist in monitoring inventory levels, and determine component availability in support the production plan. Â Experience developed in this position will allow the successful candidate to assist in the future development and maintenance of its external supply chain. Previous experience with a medical device or industrial manufacturing company is a definite plus.

Â Required Skills Bachelor's degree required in business area or equivalent. Minimum of Five (5) years Materials management experience. MRP is required with knowledge of Microsoft WORD, Excel, and Access Databases. The ideal candidate should have some exposure or past experience with ISO principles, Kanban, and LEAN manufacturing techniques.
