Business Development Specialist

A fast growing manufacturing company in Skokie, IL is seeking to expand its industry and customer base. We are looking for a highly motivated sales professional to establish contacts within targeted new companies.


Candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:


• 1-3 years business development experience
• Preferable experience selling technical product in consultative sales process
• Self starter, highly motivated and tenacious
• College degree


Specific Responsibilities:


• Research targeted industries for new customer names
• On-going development of extensive list of customer names and individual names within these companies to contact
• Conduct proactive phone calls to targeted new customer contacts weekly
• Through persistence, follow up, listening and positioning the company, set up meetings or conference calls.
• Over time, we anticipate this person being responsible for a portfolio of customers and an annual revenue budget.
