Field Application Engineer - Bilingual in Mandarin and with Mechanical Engineering background
Duties/Responsibilities:Responsible for managing the new product development and implementation process for the teams. The position will support multiple product lines from multiple business divisions. Drive the day-to-day program activities to meet the overall program objectives with a heavy focus on the electro-mechanical consumer product design and deployment planning to our manufacturing site. Highly creative mind and basic marketing sense to support fast pace of product development cycle. Familiar with environmental and regulatory theory and testing, and applying EMI/ESD knowledge during concept design. Works from concept design, to deliver final prototype models to meet customer and marketing requirements. As a major contact window of customers on technical and project issues, direct interface with technical or non-technical customers face to face and by phone Work closely with engineering team in China, during product development especially concept phase Creat and review Bill of Material (BOM)Liaison with component vendors as well as tooling supplier in Asia to resolve DFM or any other manufacturing related issues. Cross-functional support: Industrial design, product development and operations teams
Skills/Experience:
· 3 years of product development experiences in Computer or Consumer Electronics field.
· BS in Mechanical Engineering or related or with equvilent experience in mechanical design.
· Familiar with KVM products is an advantage.
· Bilingual in Mandarin is a must.
· Have managed the launch and schedule of products from product development stage to delivery for customers
· Strong desire to own/drive project development.
· Concrete experience and skills in customer face to face and phone interface.
· An mechanical engineer who’s moved into a project management position is ideal.
· Knowledge of the costing and BOM
