Applications Engineer - Boiler Systems
A career opportunity is open for an Applications Engineer in Strongsville, Ohio. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical and organizational skills and bring engineering or applications experience with boiler control systems.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
· Provide direct technical consultation with customers, sales and other Clark-Reliance departments
· Review and analyze customer requirements through blueprints, plans, contract terms and conditions or other information to develop and prepare a detailed proposal which describes: type of equipment needed, calculate size and create preliminary design, determine price, delivery time and financial terms for the described product
· Prepare documentation, proposal or submittal drawings that the customer requires
· Process material/equipment orders and expedite shipping
Requirements:
· Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or relevant applications engineering experience in boiler control systems
· 3+ years experience in relevant industry required
· Proven abilities in conceptual design, component sizing and quote preparation
· Strong interpersonal skills in listening, consultative and problem-solving skills
· Demonstrated strengths in verbal and written communication
· Computer experience in Word, Excel and Outlook
· Self-directed with ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision
· Previous experience with contract terms and conditions a plus
