Applications Engineer

Lutron Electronics has been recognized as the world leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of quality lighting control products for over forty years. Many of Lutron’s products are designed for use in Commercial Projects. We have an immediate need for an Applications Engineer for our Commercial Business Unit. This is an excellent opportunity to combine your technical expertise and exceptional customer service skills while working on some of the most prestigious jobs in the world.

In this key role you will be working with our sale teams and engineering departments to recommended lighting control solutions for a variety projects. Your excellent organizational and customer service skills will be challenged while you manage multiple projects, find creative solutions to challenges and continually drive process/product improvements.

Responsibilities:Work with manufactures reps, specifiers, contractors and factory sales teams to select products that will contribute to a successful project Conduct training sessions for our customers and sale teams on our innovative new technologies Active coordination with engineering development and sales on strategic projects and requirements Interface with engineering on new product application opportunities

Qualifications:Bachelors Degree EE/ME with strong academic performance Experience selling technical products or systems for commercial applications A proven track record of leadership and outstanding achievement At least 5 years of relevant experience in lighting/controls/electrical products and devices Proven success resolving conflict, teaching, training and communicating a technical product Strong communication and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Microsoft Suite, exceptional organization skills with strong attention to detail AutoCAD skills preferred but are not required
